Coronavirus: 3D Printing, Sewing, & Making... Masks, Ventilators, Face Shields & More!

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, healthcare workers and patients need millions of masks and face shields; and hundreds of thousands of ventilators. But we don't have what we need because we failed to prepare when we had time to prepare. The United States has almost a half a million 3D-printers, most owned by hobbyists. We have millions of sewing machines and crafters who know how to use them. So, can America's DIY (Do-It-Yourself)'ers, makers, and crafters combine efforts to plug this giant hole in our healthcare inventory and supply chain? Using the Internet and social media hundreds of projects have self-organized to design solutions, source materials, allocate machines and people, and ship critical medical supplies to the front line of our war against Covid19. We'll review what is being done, opportunities & pitfalls, and discuss how we might participate.
