Smart Cars & Mixed Reality: From AR Windshields to VR Training... Where Are We? Where Are We Going? During AutoUI 2021

Join us aboard a Pagani Huayra BC Roadster (US $3.5M) above the Pagani factory in Modena, Italy to discuss augmented, virtual, and mixed reality automotive applications during the 13th International ACM Conference on Automotive User Interfaces and Interactive Vehicular Applications! What is the current state and future direction of head-up display-based AR? How is VR used to design and sell vehicles? To train drivers and autonomous vehicles? How about AR/VR to entertain and educate drivers and passengers? What could go wrong/right? Our informal online meetup in social virtual reality is unaffiliated with Auto UI 2021, but we hope you'll attend both and share what you learn and experience. PS Have you every worn a VR headset in a moving car? (presumably as a passenger). It's an interesting experience, especially if you're playing a VR race car simulator...
