Cyberbullying: Know Your Rights

Cyberbullying Team Project Educators in VR

PAST EVENT

Join professional eSports expert, Sonya Haskins (Hasko) and Lorelle of Educators in VR to discuss your rights to protect, report, and manage cyberbullying incidents. What are your rights to protect yourself and others? Are they different for various VR games & social VR platforms? How do the laws protect you?

Sonya Haskins is a consultant, VR events organizer, and founder of VR Community Builders, a non-profit that promotes positive, inclusive environments. Formerly a professional VR esports player, Sonya was the first female player to qualify for the VR League North American Regional Championships in 2017. Author of 8 books, she writes frequently about immersive reality for publications like VR Fitness Insider, AR Post, & Gaming Trend.

Lorelle is the co-founder & director of Educators in VR, and long-time advocate and trainer in sexual assault prevention education.

This month is our 3rd Annual Cyberbullying Month series tackling critical issues including harassment, assault, interpersonal conflict, response and reporting, and understanding your rights and responsibilities.

Expect these sessions to touch upon sensitive areas. Please remember, these are NOT therapy sessions but may serve as support, sharing, and resource access opportunities.

Educators in VR is dedicated to integrating VR, AR, and XR into education and business. We host over 600 VR free and paid events, classes, workshops, and conferences annually covering all aspects of education. Educators in VR started in AltspaceVR when educators came together to solve their common challenges, and has grown to over 2,500 members from around the world, and over a dozen Team Projects (special interest groups).
